Summer Antiquing

Other peoples' things
sit, collecting dust,
on a crowded shelf,
waiting to stir up murky memories
which swirl around aimlessly
like soft, grey mud
at the bottom of the bay
when you step
oh so carefully
on a summer's evening.

Nicely written. I wonder what inspired it? I really like "murky memories" "swirl around aimlessly." That really captures it.

Thanks. I browsed the local antique stores today and it made me think.

I just love how the simpliest of things can and are poetic! Just Great!

"another mans trash is another mans treasure"

Love antiquing! and so true how emotions can be roused.
