Overt

You notice my feelings,
barely hidden by my mind's
frail denial,
scoop them up
tenderly
and hand them back to me
in your gentle, outstretched hands.

Beautifully written. I get it. Isn't it wonderful to have someone "scoop up our feelings tenderly" and hand them back to us -- somehow now with less impact and a sense of order.

Your word verifcation is "mutes." Seriously ... now that says something.

Oh, how those outstretched hands are cherished (wishing more people "got that"...) you spoke this truth with such clarity! Love it!
