I Am There

This year,

the purple is

unnecessary;

the covering of the statues,

the desert atmosphere,

bare branches on the altar

and sand

in the holy water font.

It is not necessary

to contrive a season

of mourning.

It is not necessary

to manufacture

the tiresome, ashen, darkness

to get in touch with the reality of

my spiritual poverty.

I am there.

I am there too,
with you;
different circumstance,
mourning nonetheless
Holding you ...

Continually

Thanks. Its eerie how we go through similar things at the same time.

I hear you are there. Please hear me when I say you are seriously talented and deeply spiritual? I love how you go to the heart of the matter and yet are so understated.
Thank you for this. This mourning...such a human experience
and hopefully the precursor of a rebirth

Sorry. I did not really intend to go on and on. I do have these moments

Thanks, Linda. "hopefully the precursor of a rebirth." I agree. It is what I hope for.
